Simon Nabatov, born Semyo Leonidovich Nabatov on January 11, 1959 in Moscow, is
a Russian‑American jazz pianist. After studying at the Moscow Conservatory, he
emigrated to New York in 1979, where he attended the Juilliard School from 1980
to 1984. His first recordings appeared in the early 1990s, including Tough
Customer (1993) with Mark Helias and Sneak Preview (1999) with Tom Rainey.
Subsequent releases such as Perpetuum Immobile (2000), Chat Room (2001), Around
Brazil (2005), Jazz Limbo (2006), Moods and Modes (2010), and Plain (2020)
