Simon Fisher Turner
Simon John Fisher Turner, born on November 21, 1954 in Kent, England, is an
English musician, songwriter, composer, producer, and actor. He released the
single "Shoeshine Boy / 17" in 1972 and his self-titled debut album on UK
Records in 1973. Over the next decades, he issued albums such as Nadja (Original
Soundtrack) (1995), Swift (2002), and Soundescapes (2011). His film work,
notably the score for The Epic of Everest, earned him an Ivor Novello Award. He
played concerts throughout Europe with the Elysian Quartet.
