Sibel Alas
Sibel Alaş, born Sibel on February 13, 1973, in Istanbul, Turkey, is a
singer-songwriter. She graduated from the American Culture and Literature
Department at Istanbul University. Before her solo career, she was both vocalist
and dancer for Yonca Evcimik. Her breakthrough came with "Adam" from her debut
album Adam in 1995. Alaş released her second album, Fem, in 1996. After marrying
her manager Zeki Aköz in 1996 and adopting a daughter named Tuğçe in 1998, she
