Daughter of DJ and programmer Trevor Nelson, Shy One (born Mali
Larrington-Nelson) is a London-based DJ, producer and broadcaster. Renowned for
her eclectic and unclassifiable musical style, with its roots in British club
culture, she began mixing on pirate radio stations as a teenager and developed
her art by exploring the full range of her city's sonic palette - from grime and
garage to broken beat, house, jazz, hip-hop and funky UK - which today
characterize her sets and productions. Her early work attracted attention when
