Shorty Mack
Derrelle Owens, born on June 9, 1981, in Sacramento, California, and known
professionally as Shorty Mack, is an American producer, rapper, and actor. He
co-created the label Knockout Entertainment and entered the music scene with the
single “Hard To Tame Me” (1996), which reached number 73 on the US R&B chart,
and his debut album, Shorty Mac (1996), released through JVC/Vertex Music. Owens
subsequently collaborated with Ray J, contributing to the Knockout remix of the
single “Formal Invite” and the Smokin' Trees version of the song “What I Need”.
