Shlomo Gronich, born on January 20, 1949, in Hadera, Israel, is a composer,
singer-songwriter, and pianist. He holds degrees in Music Education from Tel
Aviv Educational Academy and Composition from the Mannes School of Music in New
York City. Gronich’s music blends Israeli pop, folk, and progressive rock with
influences from rhythm and blues, jazz, Mizrahi, klezmer, and Middle Eastern
music, as well as the traditional Shirei Eretz Yisrael style. His debut album,
Why Didn't You Tell Me?!, was released in 1971. Notable works include the album
