Shlomi Shabat, born on August 30, 1954, in Yehud, Israel, is an Israeli singer
known for his career in Mizrahi music. Shabat began performing in nightclubs in
New York City before releasing his debut album מן החושך חזרתי in 1987. His
breakthrough came with the 1989 album בגלל הרוח, which featured collaborations
with his sister Lea Shabat and composer Mika Shtarit. In 1991, Shabat
