Yu-hyang Park, known professionally as Shion, was born on January 1st, in
Yokohama, Japan. She is a Korean singer-songwriter who began her music career at
an early age. Growing up in a shot bar owned by her parents, she was exposed to
black music sounds such as those by Marvin Gaye and Diana Ross. At the age of
10, Shion started voice training and later trained under Keith John, a long-time
backing vocalist for Stevie Wonder, while staying in Detroit, United States.
