Shiner, an American post-hardcore/alternative rock band from Kansas City,
Missouri, was formed in 1992 by Allen Epley (vocals, guitar), together with
bassist Shawn Sherrill and drummer Jeff Brown, later joined by guitarist Tim Dow
who replaced the original drummer. Emerging from the Midwestern post-hardcore
and alternative rock scene, the group quickly became known for their angular
guitar-driven sound, heavy rhythms, and a balance between aggressive intensity
