Shinedown
A melodic hard rock and alternative metal quartet formed in Jacksonville,
Florida, in 2001, Shinedown's core members are vocalist Brent Smith (born in
Knoxville, Tennessee, in 1978), guitarist Jasin Todd, bassist Brad Stewart and
drummer Barry Kerch. Rewarded with a platinum disc in 2003 for their debut album
Leave a Whisper (#53 in the U.S.), the Atlantic-signed band continued to climb
the alternative rock charts with several tracks from their second album Us and
