Shelley Ann Harland-Wright, born in Caterham, Surrey, is an English
singer-songwriter and producer. Raised by creative parents, she discovered her
musical talent during a stay in New York and composed her first songs using an
acoustic guitar and a four-track sampler. Her breakthrough came when she signed
with Chrysalis Publishing. Harland's debut album, Phoelar, released in 1999
under the project name Phoelar, showcased trip-hop sounds. She collaborated
extensively with artists including Ferry Corsten, Junkie XL, Morgan Page, and
