Sharon Van Etten
American composer, musician and performer born in Belleville, New Jersey, on
February 26, 1981, Sharon Van Etten recorded a series of self-produced albums
before breaking through in 2009 with Because I Was in Love (2009), in a purely
folk style. She then took a more electric approach on Epic (2010), followed by
Tramp (2012), her first album for the Jagjaguwar label, to which she has
remained loyal ever since. Several other tracks released separately, such as
"I'm Giving Up on You" and "Serpents ", demonstrate the eclecticism of the
artist, who follows this up with the album Are W...
