Shannon Barnett
Shannon Barnett, born in 1982 in Traralgon, Australia, is a trombonist and
composer. She earned degrees from the Victorian College of the Arts and the
State University of New York. Barnett started her career with groups like Vada
and the Bennetts Lane Big Band, and performed with ensembles such as the
Australian Art Orchestra. In 2010, she released her debut album Country. After
moving to New York City in 2011, she collaborated with notable musicians. From
