Shakura S'Aida
Shakura S'Aida, also known as Shakura, was born in Brooklyn and later resided in
Switzerland before moving to Canada. She is a Canadian blues vocalist,
songwriter, and actress. She began her music career as the lead singer of the
13-piece world music ensemble Kaleefah. Additionally, she has acted in various
productions, including George Boyd's Consecrated Ground in 2004. Her solo career
commenced with the independent release of Blueprint in 2008. Her subsequent
