Born in Malaysia on May 20, 1950, Sheikh Abdullah Ahmad, aka Shake, began his
career in France, where he scored a string of variety hits from 1976 onwards:
"You Know I Love You", "Je viens de loin", "Quand on ne peut pas avoir la fille
qu'on aime", "Je chante cette chanson pour toi " and "Rien n'est plus beau que
l'amour " ("Love Is a Many Splendored Thing"). Alternating French- and
