Shaila, an Argentinian melodic hardcore band, was formed in 1994, and consisted
of Joaquín Guillén, Pablo Coniglio, Yasser Eid, Santiago Tortora, and Guido
Hernan Diez. The group began recording their first tracks at La Sala studio,
influenced by the California hardcore punk scene. Their debut EP Solo un día más
was released under Speed Power Emotion Discos in 1997, followed by the album
Progresar, in 2000, which included the popular tracks "Yo" and "sMil ilusiones".
The band continued with releases such as El engaño (2002) and Congelando el
