Seventh Day Slumber, a Christian rock band from Dallas, Texas, was formed in 1996. The group initially consisted of vocalist Joseph Rojas and guitarist Ken Reed. After five years as an independent act, they signed with BEC Records in 2005. Their debut album Picking Up the Pieces was released that year, followed by Finally Awake in 2007, which peaked at Number 16 on Billboard's Top Christian Albums chart.
