Sessa (born Sergio Sayeg) emerged in the São Paulo music scene as a co-founder
of the psych-funk group Garotas Suecas before expanding his career in the U.S.,
notably collaborating with New York guitarist Yonatan Gat. He released his debut
album Grandeza in 2019, earning praise from the New Yorker, which compared him
to Caetano Veloso. Singing in Portuguese, Sessa developed a minimalist style
