Serj Tankian, an American musician of Armenian origin, was born in Beirut,
Lebanon, on August 21, 1967. Best known as the lead singer and founding member
of System of a Down since 1992, Serj Tankian has pursued a solo career since the
band's break in 2006. This political activist and animal rights defender
released the album Elect the Dead in 2007, before offering the live recording
Elect the Dead Symphony in 2010. Released the same year, Imperfect Harmonies
ventures into jazz and electro influences, proof of Serj Tankian's eclecticism.
