Sergio Denis
Héctor Omar Hoffmann Fenzel, known professionally as Sergio Denis, was born on
16 March 1949 in Coronel Suárez, Argentina, and worked as a singer in the Latin
pop and pop genres. After performing in school gatherings and joining the group
Los Jokers at sixteen, he moved to Buenos Aires in 1969 and entered the CBS
label, where he recorded the single "Fui un soñador" and the album Te Llamo Para
Despedirme (1970). His early releases, including the album Sergio Denis (1971)
and the album Nunca Supe Más De Ti (1973), established him as a melodic
balladeer, with hits such as "Yo nunca ...
