Serenity
Serenity, a British death-doom band, was formed in 1994 by Gary Riley on drums,
Lee Baines on guitar, and Brendan Dawson on bass, all of whom were previously
members of the English doom metal band Solstice. In the same year, Serenity
released a demo tape featuring three tracks, which secured them a record deal
with French label Holy Records. Their debut album, Then Came Silence, was
released in 1995 under Holy Records, followed by Breathing Demons in 1996. The
band contributed tracks to various samplers, including "Skin of the Soul" on The
