Knud Torben Grabow Christensen, known professionally as Sebastian, was born on
December 19, 1949, in Denmark. He began his music career by playing guitar and
writing songs from 1966 onwards. Sebastian's breakthrough came with the release
of his first Danish-language LP, Den store flugt, in 1972. This album was
praised for its Donovan-like Dylan style and sold extensively, estimated between
100,000 to 170,000 copies. Notable songs include "Når lyset bryder frem" and
