Schillah was born Nico Klinger in Gera (year of birth: 1997 or 1998). He is a
German rapper, songwriter, producer, and DJ who, through his stage persona
“Schillah Motherfuckah”—inspired by Friedrich Schiller—incorporates themes from
his own life story—mental illness, a life of excess, and self-destruction—into
his music. He began gaining recognition in his teenage years: He started writing
at age 12, and by 13 he was participating in poetry slams and rap battles. In
