Sarah Shook, born Sarah Marie Shook in Rochester, New York, on September 15, 1985, is an American alternative country singer-songwriter based in Chatham County, North Carolina. Shook taught herself guitar in her twenties, forming her first band, Sarah Shook and The Devil, in 2010 and self-releasing their debut extended play, Seven, in 2013, which was reissued by Bloodshot Records in 2020.
