Sarah Lancman, born in 1989 in Paris, France, is a jazz singer, pianist,
composer, author, and interpreter. She began piano lessons at age seven and
studied classical piano at the Conservatoire du Centre in Paris under Valery
Sigalevitch. Around age 15, she attended a summer program at the Bill Evans
Piano Academy. She later completed a Bachelor’s degree in composition, jazz
piano, and voice at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne. In 2012, she won the
first prize in the International Shure Jazz Vocal competition at the Montreux
