Sandy Adalberto Carriello Rojas, known as Sandy MC, and born on September 14,
1972, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was a singer-songwriter. Influenced
by groups like Run-D.M.C and the Fat Boys., he formed a rap group in the
mid-1980s and later joined Boogie Down Rap. In the early 1990s, Sandy MC moved
to New York City and reunited with Papo MC, forming the duo Sandy & Papo MC.
They gained national and international fame, touring extensively. In 2000, Sandy
MC released Homenaje a Papo, dedicated to his late partner Papo MC. He followed
