Sandrine Nnanga grew up in southern Cameroon, where she was introduced to music through her church choir. While still performing in public, she was spotted by the Bantu groove group Macase after her A-levels, which she joined first to complete the backing vocals before becoming the lead singer. Alongside Merveille Tsang'Mbe and Léonie Nlanga, she performed with the group, making her mark on the stage and rubbing shoulders with prestigious names in the music world: Manu Dibango, André Manga, Danièle Eog... As she matured, she decided to strike out on her own while pursuing studies...
