Samantha Lam Chi-mei, born on April 9, 1963, in Hong Kong, is a singer-songwriter known for her contributions to Cantopop. Her musical journey began in 1982 when RTHK aired her early songs, including "Feelings of a Passage". In 1983, she released her self-titled debut album, featuring ten successful tracks previously performed between 1981 and 1982. That same year, she covered the Mandarin song "Into Your Eyes", originally by Tsai Chin.
