Sam Lee, born on July 6, 1980 in North West London, is a British folk singer and
traditional music specialist. He studied art at Chelsea College of Art before
transitioning to music. In 2008, Sam Lee met Stanley Robertson, who taught him
traditional songs. Lee's debut album Ground of Its Own was released in 2012 and
shortlisted for the Mercury Music Award. His music reworks traditional British
folk songs from Romany Gypsy and Irish traveller communities. In 2014, he
