Sumiko Sakamoto, born 坂本スミ子 on November 25, 1936, in Osaka, Japan, was a
Japanese singer and actress known for her heartfelt performances. She began her
career as an entertainer, initially gaining recognition for her acting roles
before transitioning into music. Her breakthrough moment came with the release
of her single "夜が明けて" in October 1971. Sakamoto's musical journey continued with
