Asami Kanenobu, born in Osaka, grew up in a musical family and learned guitar
during the mid-60s "college folk" boom. Inspired by British musicians like
Donovan and Pentangle, she taught herself guitar techniques from their music.
She made her songwriting and recording debut with Himitsu Kessha Marumaru
Kyodan, but was pushed aside by the label in favor of traditional male artists.
Her friendship with Happy End secured a solo album deal, produced by Haruomi
