Ryan Cayabyab was born Raymundo Cipriano Pujante Cayabyab on May 4, 1954 in the
Philippines. He began learning piano at age four and initially pursued a degree
in business administration. Cayabyab's early career involved performing with the
Philippine Madrigal Singers. His breakthrough came when Senator Salvador Laurel
offered him a scholarship to pursue music studies at the University of the
Philippines. Cayabyab's career spans various genres, including pop music, film
