Rupam Islam, born on January 25, 1974, in Kolkata, India, is a singer-songwriter
and music composer. He began performing at a young age, appearing on All Indian
Radio and Doordarshan programs by nine. Islam graduated from Asutosh College
with a degree in education before focusing on his musical career. In the late
1990s, he started his professional journey as the lead vocalist of the Bengali
rock band Fossils. As a solo artist, Islam has released several albums including
