Rudy Salvatore La Scala, born on 20 January 1954 in Rocca di Papa, Italy, is an
Italian‑Venezuelan singer known for his distinctive high‑pitched voice. He began
performing with a small band at fifteen and debuted as a soloist under the name
“Flavio” in 1971 before adopting the stage name Rudy La Scala in 1974, releasing
the single "Woman" that reached audiences in Venezuela, Brazil, France, and
South Africa. His first album, Woman (1973), was issued by Polydor Records,
