Rosa Aurelia Guerra Morales was born on 3 January 1969 in Lago Valencia, Las
Piedras, Madre de Dios, Peru, and later adopted the stage name Rossy War.
Growing up in a small village, she began singing with local groups and
eventually moved to Lima at seventeen, where she pursued studies in executive
secretariat and nursing while continuing to perform. Rossy War entered the
professional music scene in 1984 with the technocumbia group Los Bio Chips,
