Ronnie Bowman, born July 9, 1961 in Mount Airy, North Carolina, was an American
singer and composer of bluegrass music. From a young age, Bowman sang gospel
music with his family band. In 1987, he joined the bluegrass band The Lost and
Found. From 1990 to 2001, Bowman was a vocalist and bass player for the Lonesome
River Band, releasing several albums including Carrying the Tradition (1991),
which won the International Bluegrass Music Association's Album of the Year
