Roger Wagner was a French-American choral conductor and musician born as Roger
Wagner on January 16, 1914 in Le Puy. Wagner achieved professional recognition
for a career that began after he served as a cathedral organist in Dijon and
emigrated to the United States in 1921. He achieved professional recognition for
serving as the organist at St. Ambrose Church at age 12. Wagner achieved
professional recognition for founding the ensemble Roger Wagner Chorale in 1946.
