Roger Greenaway
Roger John Greenaway, born on August 23, 1938, in Bristol, was an English
songwriter. He began his music career as a member of The Kestrels, where he met
Roger Frederick Cook. After The Kestrels disbanded, Greenaway and Cook
collaborated, contributing backing vocals to artists like Françoise Hardy and
Billy Fury. Their first major success came when Petula Clark recorded their song
"Everything in the Garden", which reached number 2 on the UK charts. In 1965,
