Roger Boutry
Roger Jean Boutry, also known as Roger Boutry, was born on February 27, 1932,
in Paris, and was a French pianist, composer, and conductor. His early training
at the Conservatoire national de musique et d’art dramatique produced several
first prizes, culminating in the Grand Prix de Rome in 1954. He conducted
internationally, leading the Orchestre de la Garde républicaine from 1973 to
1997, and recorded the acclaimed Révolution française in 1990, featuring
Mireille Mathieu. His compositions for wind ensembles received multiple honors,
