Robbie O'Connell, born on December 28, 1950, in Waterford, Ireland, is an Irish
singer-songwriter who began his musical journey at a young age. He formed the
Rotary Folk group with his sister Alice, which won the Kilkenny Beer Festival in
the late 1960s. In 1977, O'Connell joined his uncles, the Clancy Brothers,
touring extensively and contributing original compositions such as "Bobby's
