Robert William "Robbie" Fulks was born on March 25, 1963, in York, Pennsylvania.
He is an American alternative country singer-songwriter and instrumentalist who
grew up playing banjo and guitar, influenced by his musically inclined family.
After moving to New York City for college, he began performing at local venues
before relocating to Chicago in 1983. Fulks taught at the Old Town School of
Folk Music and joined The Special Consensus Bluegrass Band in 1987. His debut
album, Country Love Songs, was released on Bloodshot Records in 1996. Notable
