Richard Poon, born December 8, 1973 in Makati, Philippines, is a Filipino-Chinese singer, songwriter, and television personality. He began his career performing in lounges and bars across Metro Manila, covering standards and classic pop songs. In 2004, Poon released a self-titled debut album as a member of the group U-Turn on VIVA Records, followed by By Request (2005). He launched a solo career with the debut album I'll Take Care of You (2007) on MCA Music, which achieved platinum certification.
