Richard Harwood
Richard Craig Harwood is a British cellist born on August 8, 1979, in
Portsmouth. He began playing piano at age four and cello at five. Harwood made
his concerto debut at age ten with the recording “G minor Kabalevsky Concerto”
and studied with teachers including Joan Dickson, Steven Doane, and Heinrich
Schiff. He performed at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and the
Musikverein. Harwood collaborated with conductors including John Wilson and
