Richard Elliott
Richard Elliott, born 1957 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an organist who served as
the principal organist of the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. He studied
organ at the Peabody Institute, Catholic University of America, and earned a
bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music while assisting at the
Wanamaker Organ. After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints
he served a mission in Argentina from 1981‑1983, then obtained master’s and
