Riccardo Del Turco, born on September 7, 1939 in Florence, Italy, is a
singer-songwriter. He joined the Riccardo Rauchi Orchestra in 1957 and was
signed by RCA in 1962 after being noticed by producer Nanni Ricordi. Del Turco's
breakthrough came in 1966 with "Figlio unico" and in 1967 with "Uno tranquillo".
His major hit, "Luglio" (1968), topped the Italian Hit Parade Singles Chart for
two weeks in 1968 and sold over 500,000 copies. The song was covered
