Redd Volkaert
Justin Redd Volkaert, born on March 6, 1958, in Vancouver, Canada, is a
guitarist and singer. He began performing at age 16, playing clubs six nights a
week until the mid-1980s. In 1986, Volkaert moved to Los Angeles, working in
clubs and private gigs while giving guitar lessons and recording during the day.
He later relocated to Nashville in 1990, playing full-time at various venues and
touring with bands such as Johnny Paycheck and George Jones. In 1997, Volkaert
joined Merle Haggard's band, continuing to record with other musicians like Brad
