Rebeca Lane, born Rebeca Eunice Vargas Tamayac on December 6, 1984, in Ciudad de
Guatemala, is a Guatemalan singer and feminist activist. Growing up during the
civil war in Guatemala, she was deeply influenced by her family's involvement in
music and poetry. Her early activism led her to explore rap as a medium for
social commentary and her music often addressed themes of feminism, social
violence, and cultural identity. In 2014, she released Canto, followed by Poesía
