Carlton Ray Scott, known professionally as Ray Scott, is an American country
music singer born in 1969 in Semora, North Carolina. He started his musical
career in the 1980s with a rock band and later earned a degree from the Music
Business Institute in Atlanta. After moving to Nashville, Scott signed with
producer Tom Collins and achieved early successes as a songwriter for Randy
Travis' "Pray for the Fish" (2002) and Clay Walker's "A Few Questions" (2003).
He released his debut album My Kind Of Music in 2005. Following disagreements
