Ray Dylan
Jacobus Frederik Jersich, born 15 August 1978 in Odendaalsrus, South Africa, is
a singer who performs in Afrikaans and English. He entered the music scene with
the 2002 release New Kid In Town, but his breakthrough came in 2006 with the
Afrikaans album Hokaai Stoppie Lorrie. In 2007, he issued Breek Die Ys, followed
by the CD/DVD Hier Binne (Klop ´n Boerehart) in 2008. The 2009 album Goeie Ou
Country earned him the South African Music Award for Best Country Album of the
Year in 2010. Subsequent releases included Verskietende Sterre (2011), Goeie Ou
