Randy Porter
Randy Porter is an American jazz pianist, composer, and educator. After studies
at Humboldt State University and the New England Conservatory with Jaki Byard,
Fred Hersch, and Art Lande, he played club piano for touring musicians in
San Diego. Moving to Portland, Oregon, in 1990, Porter launched an international
career, touring with David Friesen and appearing on The Name of a Woman and
Midnight Mood. His debut album Forest 4 the Trees came in 1995, followed by
